![]() Mario Party has really been hammered by that lately, like Mario Party 10's rushed amount of content. You know, I really do wonder considering the authenticity with this game, I feel like there must've been ideas at NdCube to recreate some boards as well, but the tight release schedule to forced them to be unambitious. I like how they're authentic with the music, like it's fun to hear the "minigame complete!" sound bite corresponding to each game. They've most definitely adjusted Bumper Balls! Just a slight bit more slippery and pushy, who knew the most famous Mario Party minigame would get its remaster on 3DS.Īnother neat modern tidbit, Petey Piranha appears in Piranha Pursuit. Don't play this game with known aggressive players? Haha, they play Tug o' War completely straight, circle pad rotating encouraged. I still have hardware to play the old stuff and do so pretty regularly so nothing is really jumping out at me though, doesn't really seem worth the asking price but we'll see how the Minigame Match mode is. Most of that was complaining but overall the game is alright so far. Just played Rockin' Raceway, I'm not sure if I'm crazy but I think you can spin out now from mashing too much? Kind of annoying? Seemed like I barely ran down the carrots at all. Dart Attack was also murder because the timing is so indirect. I dunno why they didn't even match The Beat Goes On to the 3DS button colours, but it really annoys me the little music cue before each attempt is a bit off.Īnnoying how they put luck based games in Minigame Island, not sure what happens when you run out of lives but seems like a pain. I also don't remember Goomba Bowling feeling so awkward.īombs Away felt really non-threatening, I can't tell if the physics were reworked or the time limit is different. Speeding Bullets with the 3DS gyro feels calibrated way too sensitive. They added a modern Mega Mushroom to Mush Pit which is neat. One of the more reworked minigames is Dizzy Dancing, now you have to collect multiple notes which is kind of cool. Unfortunately, that mode was just kind of a lamer version of the main Toad Scramble mode from that game, so we'll have to see how it pans out. Let the best player win!" In trailers it looks like it lifts a lot of mechanics from the last 3DS entry's Balloon Bash mode, which may mean moving all at the same time (not the car) and cashing in all your coins at the end for stars. ![]() Set the number of turns to play, roll the dice, and start gathering coins. ![]() Minigame Match claims that it's "a board game-style mode that lets you challenge up to three other friends. ![]()
